Note on the battery law
In connection with the sale of batteries and accumulators and devices that contain batteries or accumulators, we would like to inform you of the following in accordance with Section 18 of the Battery Act (BattG):
Batteries and rechargeable batteries must not be disposed of with household waste. As the end user, you are legally obliged to return used batteries and accumulators. After use, you can either return them to your communal collection points, in stores or directly to us (for address see imprint) for free disposal.
Old batteries may contain pollutants or heavy metals that can be harmful to the environment and human health. Batteries can be recycled because they contain important raw materials such as iron, zinc, manganese or nickel.
Batteries and rechargeable batteries that contain pollutants are marked with the symbol of a crossed-out garbage can and the chemical name of the pollutant.
